In this article, we will explore the different payment methods used in Kenya.

Betting firms in Kenya partner with telecommunication companies, tech companies, and most importantly the banking industry to ensure that the Kenyan bettor has some of the safest, faster, secure, and convenient payment methods. Having a trustworthy and dependable site goes hand in hand with having a secure and reliable payment system on any betting site.

Each betting site and land-based operators or bookies have their preferred transaction. For example,  bookies that also serve foreign clients prefer to use e-wallets and card payments which are internationally recognized, while domestic bookies prefer using mobile payment methods which are up to speed.

Bank Transfers

Bank transfers are the oldest form of payment method not only in Kenya but also in the rest of the world. A bank transfer allows you to transact money between your bank and the betting company.

The bank is probably the safest method since only the bank knows your financial details.

Mobile payment is the most commonly used and preferred method of payment by both Kenyan bettor and local bookies. Mobile payment helps users to deposit and withdraw money through mobile phones; t’s very reliable and efficient. M-Pesa and Airtel Money are the common mobile payment platforms available in the market.

E – Wallets

These are mostly used by international bookies and accepted by Kenyan bettors. they are safe and trusted method to deposit and withdraw, a bettor only needs to share his card information with the respective company. It’s a safe digital way to keep your money online, a version of a physical wallet.

Card Payment Option

Credit and debit cards are known to be safe both nationally and internationally by sports bookies. Its generally easy to withdraw, and the processing fee is non existent or very low.

Online betting sites in Kenya offer a wide range of payments methods. One just have to make sure that the chosen site has your preferred payment method before signing up. Great care has to be adhered to when signing up to a website in order to spot any suspicious activity.
