Mohegan Gaming & Entertainment, the parent company of Mohegan Sun’s casinos in Connecticut and Pennsylvania and developer of awe-inspiring global integrated entertainment resorts (IER), announced Thursday that it has appointed Ray Pineault as its new president and chief executive officer.
Ray Pineault has served as interim CEO since March 31, 2021, and served as President and General Manager of MGE’s flagship facility, Mohegan Sun Connecticut, and Chief Operating Officer of MGE for 20 years.
Pineault will oversee all day-to-day operations of MGE, including the brand’s continued growth and ongoing efforts to deliver unparalleled personalized service and memorable guest experiences.
James Gessner, Jr., Chairman of the Mohegan Tribe and MGE Management Board, said, “We would like to congratulate fellow tribal member Ray Pineault as he assumes the role of President and Chief Executive Officer of Mohegan Gaming & Entertainment.”

As reported by SiGMA News, in October 2020, U.S. tribal casino operator Mohegan Gaming & Entertainment and its partner and Greek construction giant Gek Terna were awarded €150 million ($176 million) for a 30-year casino license to build and operate an integrated casino resort for Greeks in Athens presented.
In late January, Mohegan partnered with Oshidori International Development Godogaisha, a subsidiary of Hong Kong-listed Oshidori International Holdings, and Japan’s Nagasaki Prefecture is looking to build an IR resort in Sasebo, Kyushu, according to Gambling News.
