In a trailblazing move, BetMGM recently announced that it has secured exclusive online casino rights to the iconic game shows “Family Feud” and “The Price is Right.” BetMGM partners with entertainment production company Freemantle in an unprecedented move, gaining intellectual property rights for these two shows. The multi-year deal allows BetMGM to create unique slots, table games, and other non-traditional casino games based on these popular shows.
BetMGM CEO Adam Greenblatt expressed his profound excitement about the partnership, highlighting the popularity of these game shows in North America. He said, “This partnership unlocks various ways for BetMGM and Fremantle to collaborate and expand our brand. ‘Family Feud’ and ‘The Price is Right’ are two of the most popular game shows in North America, and we look forward to bringing their fun and excitement to our online casino in various exciting ways.”
Suzanne Lopez, COO of Fremantle North America, hailed the deal as a significant milestone. She spoke about this partnership, expressing her delight. “This innovative collaboration paves the way for in-game branding across diverse online casino categories while also providing opportunities for integrated TV sponsorships. It’s all about enhancing how fans of “The Price Is Right” and “Family Feud” connect with the shows in fresh, immersive ways.”
Two months ago, BetMGM announced the extension of its partnership with NHL’s Vegas Golden Knights through the 2026-27 season. Under the agreement, BetMGM will maintain its role as the official betting partner of the Vegas Golden Knights, with noteworthy signage on the Knight Tron and throughout T-Mobile Arena.
BetMGM’s online casino offers over 3,500 titles and operates an extensive jackpot network. Adding “Family Feud” and “The Price is Right” strengthens its portfolio, joining other brands like Party Poker, Borgata Casino and Party Casino.
BetMGM has a history of integrating TV game shows into its offerings, such as its partnership with Entain on “Wheel of Fortune.” The new deal with “Family Feud” and “The Price is Right” is expected to include similar features, with exclusive partnership integrations during select weeks of the show’s upcoming seasons. The difference with this new deal is that BetMGM can develop or contract new games and original content under the “Family Feud” and “The Price is Right” brands. Although BetMGM is a key player in the US sports betting market, it recently confirmed it expects an EBITDA loss of approximately $250 million for 2024. This reflects the company’s ongoing investment-heavy strategy aimed at long-term growth.
BetMGM is unwavering in its commitment to responsible gaming. Their GameSense program is an industry-leading resource that ensures customers have fun while playing responsibly.
This also complements BetMGM’s existing tools, which ensure a safe and satisfying gaming experience. BetMGM has integrated the GameSense experience on their mobile and desktop platforms, mirroring the same experience players have at MGM Resorts properties around the globe.
In the first half of 2024, BetMGM reported net revenue from operations of $1 billion, marking a 6 percent increase from the previous year. The company has focussed on improving customer experience and investing in player acquisition, leading to higher year-on-year growth. They also launched digital sports betting in the District of Columbia and North Carolina.
BetMGM awarded over $128 million in progressive jackpots in 2024, including the largest jackpot in the history of legalised iGaming in New Jersey. It continues to enhance its online casino with exclusive games and top-tier partnerships, setting the standard for iGaming excellence.
BetMGM boosted its visibility through new media partnerships. In September 2024, BetMGM signed a multi-year strategic deal with Gannett Co., establishing it as the “preferred online sportsbook and casino partner” of USA TODAY Sports. BetMGM also became the official odds provider for the Associated Press in May 2024, taking over from FanDuel.
A potential feud brewing is a court case that reached the US Court of Appeals in December. A self-described problem gambler and nephew of Eddie Antar, of Crazy Eddie fame, took on BetMGM in a high-stakes battle that could redefine how operators manage risk and reward in a rapidly expanding market.
BetMGM’s exclusive partnership with Fremantle to secure the rights to “Family Feud” and “The Price is Right” is a significant move in the online casino industry.
This exclusive partnership positions BetMGM as a leading player in the iGaming and sports betting market. With a focus on responsible gaming and continuous innovation, BetMGM will provide its customers with an exciting and safe gaming experience.
