Betway acquires German sports betting licence

Betway continue to strengthen their hold on the German market with latest sports betting licence

The world renowned online betting and gaming company, Betway, has announced that they received a licence for sports betting in Germany.

The German regulatory authority had issued the licence on the 9th of March this year, allowing the online bookmaker to offer online sports betting products to players all throughout Germany.

Betway CEO, Anthony Werkman, shared his delight at the new announcement.

Betway already has a strong presence in Germany with partnerships with big Bundesliga teams such as SV Werder Bremen, Hertha BSC and VfB Stuttgart. This new licence will further help Betway establish themselves as the leading operator in the German market.

This is not the only significant move made by Betway this year. The operator has also targeted the African and LatAm markets by securing sponsorship for South Africa’s T20 cricket tournament and utilising Betway TV in the Brazilian market to provide content for Betway Squad Launch.
