Casinos in Nuevo León up their capacity 20%

Restaurants, cinemas, shopping centers and casinos were able to  increase their capacity from 30% to 50%, as announced by the state governor, Jaime Rodríguez Calderón

This increase will be applied to all customers except the vulnerable individuals, and will be applied not only in the mentioned installations but religious worship centers, gyms, hotels, public and private parks, tattoo parlors, spas, museums, theaters, auto-circuses, event halls, and farm rentals too, among other similar venues.

On the other hand, Horse races, clubs, night clubs, bars and billiards, day care centers, public pools, stadiums and face-to-face classes and children’s party rooms will remain closed.

Recreational sites for elderly people and children could be contemplated to reopen if the indicators on the decrease of need of occupation in intensive care beds improves as its been doing until now.

In a press conference about the matter, to which the Secretary of Health, Manuel de la O Cavazos and the Secretary of Economy, Roberto Russildi also attended, Jaime Rodríguez Calderón (seen on the left) said ‘The fact that we are opening businesses does not mean that we have already solved the problem; we are opening them because people need to work (..) Right now, at this moment, 90% of the businesses in Nuevo Leon are open, all the plants, the factories, the workshops (..) We will see how we can have special confined, but sanitized places for children and older adults. It is ungracious what we are doing with the elderly, many have sent me messages asking us to open the possibility for them.’
