Coljuegos will host its first live responsible gaming meeting

Coljuegos, the Colombian game regulator, proposed a strategy to prevent the misuse of gambling platforms and gaming services and create ethical and beneficial patterns of playing to help customers and prevent addiction

The plan, named Juega Bien (Play Well), was reinforced lately by the Latin American Meeting on Responsible Gaming 2020, and a meeting will be held on September  17 in order to implement the strategies that Coljuegos proposed to promote healthy leisure and prevent the negative consequences unnamed-1that a lot of the users suffer from misuse of the gaming platforms.

As stated in the project’s website juegabien.co this plan “provides graphics, first-hand information and specialised content to help media and operators position responsible gambling among Colombians”

Juan B. Perez Hidalgo, president of Coljuegos, in the latest official communication regarding the initiative, found in Juega Bien´s website stated ‘We want this industry to be seen as a responsible entertainment activity but one in which there are no minors present, in which there is self-control among adults, and in which there is responsible gambling.

‘We, as Coljuegos, of course implement these kinds of campaigns and give them all the diffusion possible but you as businessmen have great responsibility to meet directly with the player’.

The meeting, that will take place in the mentioned date, will have Juan B. Perez Hidalgo present, president of Coljuegos; Martin Garcia Santillan, president of Lotteries of the City of Buenos Aires; Esmeralda Britton, president of the Board of Directors of the Social Protection Board of Costa Rica; Manuel San Roman, director of Casino Games and Slot Machines of Peru; and Ricardo Berois, national director of Lotteries and Quinielas of Uruguay.

The meeting will be aimed at the general gaming sector, and will be broadcasted with the need of registration via Facebook Live.
