In a significant corporate change, Kresimir Spajic, former Senior Vice President at Hard Rock International, (pictured above), has taken over as CEO of Betfred USA. Spajic brings substantial experience in the North American gambling sector to his new role.
Professional Background
Spajic’s career in the gambling industry includes a number of key positions at Hard Rock, Great Canadian Entertainment, and advisory roles with Apollo Global Management, Borgata Hotel Casino and Rush Street Interactive from 2013 to 2015. He also holds a graduate degree from renowned institutions that include SDA Bocconi School of Management in Italy, the University of Neuchâtel in Switzerland and De Montfort University in the UK.

Betfred operates online in seven US states and runs retail sportsbooks in Louisiana, Nevada, and Washington. Although the company reported impressive revenue figures of £723.2 million in the fiscal year leading up to September 2022, specific US market revenues were not disclosed.
