Delaware North appoints Jason Gregorec to lead gaming division

Delaware North has announced the appointment of Jason Gregorec (pictured above) as new president of its developing gaming division. Gregorec, with over 30 years of experience in the gaming industry, will lead the division into its next phase of growth.

Delaware North’s background

Delaware North is a global brand in hospitality and entertainment, renowned for its diverse portfolio and innovative approaches. Founded in 1915, the company has grown significantly over the decades, establishing a strong presence in various sectors, including gaming, sports, and travel. Its gaming portfolio is extensive, encompassing several U.S. and Australian casinos, poker rooms, and gaming businesses. In recent years, the company has made notable expansions, including an upgrade of $320 million for Southland Casino Hotel in Arkansas and the acquisition and rebranding of a gaming venue in New Hampshire.

Gregorec takes over from Brian Hansberry, who has transitioned to the role of Group President of Gaming, focusing on strategic revamping and partnerships.

Amy Latimer, Delaware North’s executive vice president and chief operating officer, praised Gregorec’s extensive background and experience, noting that his leadership will be instrumental in driving the company’s gaming division forward.

“Jason Gregorec is a great addition to Delaware North, bringing an extensive background and more than 30 years of experience with some of the world’s leading gaming and hospitality companies. Jason will work closely with Brian Hansberry but also allow Brian to leverage his 40 years of senior-level leadership in the gaming industry to seek new opportunities for growth in the gaming sector,” she stated.

Gregorec’s experience and achievements

Gregorec brings a wealth of experience to his new role. His career includes significant positions at Caesars Entertainment and Eldorado Resorts, where his leadership led to the strategic revamping of properties, including the rebranding of Bally’s Las Vegas into Horseshoe Las Vegas. Before his time at Caesars and Eldorado, Gregorec was the CEO and general manager at JACK Entertainment’s Greektown Casino & Hotel in Detroit. His earlier roles at Tropicana Entertainment, Green Valley Ranch Station Casino, and Majestic Star Casinos & Hotel further showcase his extensive experience in the gaming industry.

In his new role, Gregorec will be responsible for overseeing Delaware North’s gaming portfolio, which includes casinos, poker rooms, and interactive gaming ventures. His focus will be on enhancing revenue and profit streams, meeting client and consumer needs, and identifying new business opportunities.
