EURO 2020: The final four

England are one step closer to bringing it home, could they finally do it? Will Denmark repeat EURO 1992? Or will the Italians or Spanish claim the big prize?

The semi-finals are upon us & things are starting to heat up! England, Italy, Spain and Denmark make up the final four of the EUROs and we are set for two high quality & intense matches! The tie of the semi’s is definitely the one between the two Mediterranean countries – Italy & Spain, while the England vs Denmark game will be quite a tense match since both teams are on great form. Let’s take a closer look into each match & the sports betting odds:

Tuesday 06/07/21

Italy – 1.65 , Draw – 2.15 , Spain – 1.95

Italy football team EURO 2021

Italy have so far passed each test with flying colours, especially vs a strong Belgian side. Two well taken goals from Insigne and Barella set the Azzuri on the way to a dominant win, however, they did suffer a late scare when Romelu Lukaku failed to convert what seemed like an easy chance to send the game to extra time. On the other hand, compared to the solid team of Italy – Spain needed penalties to beat high flyers Switzerland.

The Swiss were without captain Granit Xhaka, Shaqiri was also substituted out of the game before full time and to make matters worse, they were also reduced to 10 men with a large portion of the game left to be played.

Spain has failed to impress thus far in the tournament but still find themselves in the semi-finals thanks to young prodigy Pedri and the in-form goalkeeper Simon – who has recovered extremely well after his blunder vs Croatia. Although the Spanish have failed to catch the eye of many during this tournament, they still have the talent to beat the Italians! It will definitely be a close game tonight with both sets of players eyeing the big prize!

Denmark – 4.3 , Draw – 2.8, England – 1.43

England football team - SiGMA News

The English are back in the semi finals of a major tournament. After the world cup disappointment vs Croatia, Gareth Southgate’s men will be looking to go one better and finally make it to a major tournament final after so long.

The England side is flooded with young talent and each player has impressed in their tournament run this EUROs. Backed by a nearly full capacity Wembley stadium, the English will enter the match as clear favourites, however, the Danish will be no easy ride.

Denmark are flooded with Premier League talent with Kasper Schmeichel, Hojbjerg, Vestergaard, Christensen, Mathias Jensen & Christian Norgaard all making the team. These Premier League stars will be looking to spoil the English party and they definitely have showed that the Christian Eriksen incident brought the team together!

In my opinion, we will not be seeing a repeat of the 4-0 vs Ukraine from England as this Danish side boasts talent that plays all over the world in the best leagues. Their physicality & technical ability may catch England unaware but the Three Lions remain the favourites to meet either Italy or Spain in the final.
