F1 Esports Pro Series to announce winners live this week

Four racers are within the chance to win the fourth edition of the F1 Esports Pro Series presented by Aramco

F1 action is set to continue this week as the winners of the F1 Esports Pro Series presented by Aramco are to be announced tomorrow. The programme was founded in 2017 involving the official Formula 1 video game, with official F1 teams joining in 2018 to compete for the Esports title. The record for most titles held by a driver is UK national Brendon Leigh who has two titles to his name, while the most recent winner is Italian driver David Tonizza. 

After nine races, the finale will include three fan-favourite tracks with four drivers capable of winning the fourth edition of the series, while two teams are also vying for the constructor’s championship on the same day.

The four drivers have really shown consistency throughout the season with all four winning at least one race while they have all scored points in every single race. 

The favourite out of the four is current leader Jarno Opmeer (Alfa Romeo) who has 153 points with chasers Frede Rasmussen (Red Bull) and Marcel Kiefer (Red Bull) all close behind the leader with 134 and 121 points respectively.

The outsider of the title challenge is Nicola Longuet (Renault) who has 88 points but still has a chance for the lucrative price with 78 points left to play for. 

F1 eSportsThe first virtual race will be held at Suzuka, which is considered to be the longest race in F1 Esports thus far, followed by Mexico City and the final circuit will be Interlagos, Brazil. 

The two-day event’s full races will be streamed live on F1’s official channels on Youtube, Facebook, TV (via ESPN, Sky and Ziggo) and Twitch at 19:30 GMT, which will certainly attract viewers from all over the globe. 

Meanwhile, qualifying will take place at 15:30 GMT and will be streamed on YouTube, Twitch and Huya. The two-day event will start on Wednesday 16th December and finish on Thursday 17th December. For further information visit F1 Esports website.
