Flutter Entertainment has announced leadership changes, with Chief Financial Officer (CFO) Jonathan Hill moving to a new role as chief operations officer (COO) next year.
Flutter announces group CFO transition
According to the official announcement, Hill will be focusing on the optimisation of Flutter’s global scale and will be managing the company’s business strategy. Flutter owns brands such as Fanduel, Pokerstars and Paddy Power.
CEO Peter Jackson said Hill’s highly relevant skills and experience will “help the company to take advantage of the significant opportunities before us and will be invaluable as we continue to execute our strategy”.
The company also announced Paul Edgecliffe-Johnson, CFO at InterContinental Hotels Group, will join Flutter Entertainment as the new CFO and Executive Director at the beginning of next year.
Flutter Chair Gary McGann said the company will benefit from the experience of both execs and added he looks forward to working with them.
Ramping up responsible gambling investments
Ahead of ‘Safer Gambling Week’, the company revealed it’s spending more than €100 million ($112 million) yearly on safer gambling initiatives in Ireland and Britain. The increased responsible gaming efforts come as both jurisdictions move to tighten their regulations.
