The SiGMA Foundation is set to host an adventure expedition with the Pre-Summit Via Francigena Trek, taking place from 31st October – 2nd November 2025. This charitable initiative will happen right before SiGMA Central Europe and offer an opportunity to traverse the final 40km of the historic Via Francigena, a pilgrimage route with origins dating back to the Middle Ages.
Participants will embark on an inspiring trek culminating in St. Peter’s Square, a destination that perfectly aligns with this year’s Malta Week theme: “All Roads Lead to Rome.” Limited to just 30 participants, this exclusive journey will blend history, adventure, and philanthropy.

Proceeds from this expedition will directly support the SiGMA Foundation’s mission to improve education in Kasese, Uganda. The funds raised will finance the construction of a permanent three-classroom block, staff rooms, latrines, and a kitchen to provide meals for up to 300 children aged 3–9. Replacing hazardous mud huts and temporary shelters, this initiative prioritises early childhood development and ensures a safer, more sustainable learning environment for the next generation.
This initiative is not only a trek but an opportunity to make a lasting difference. By joining or sponsoring the SiGMA Foundation Via Francigena Trek, participants will leave their footprint on history while paving the way for a brighter future for Ugandan children.
