IGT, FanDuel extend partnership for retail sports betting

International Game Technology PLC (IGT) has announced a four-year renewal of its partnership with FanDuel, continuing to serve as the exclusive retail sports betting platform provider across North America.

This extension, which begins on September 1, 2024, will see IGT PlaySports™ technology powering FanDuel’s retail sportsbooks, solidifying a collaboration that began in 2019 when FanDuel opened its first U.S. sportsbook at The New Meadowlands Racing & Entertainment in New Jersey.

IGT’s Senior Vice President for Sports Betting, Joe Bertolone, expressed the company’s enthusiasm for the continued partnership: “IGT PlaySports looks forward to supporting FanDuel as its exclusive retail sports betting platform provider in North America for four additional years. We are committed to helping our customers realise the full potential of the retail sports betting market and differentiate their products through exceptional player experience and reliable technology.”

FanDuel on IGT’s expertise

FanDuel President Christian Genetski highlighted the importance of the partnership, citing IGT’s global experience in the land-based casino industry. IGT technology powering FanDuel sportsbooks

Since 2020, IGT PlaySports has been FanDuel’s exclusive retail platform provider across the U.S., supporting 27 FanDuel Sportsbooks in 20 gaming jurisdictions. The platform also powers FanDuel’s range of self-service betting technologies, including the IGT PlaySports Kiosk and IGT PlaySports Pad. As the retail sports betting market continues to expand, this extension ensures that FanDuel’s retail operations will continue to benefit from IGT’s advanced, reliable technology.
