Imagine Live has received approval from Romania’s National Gambling Office (ONJN) for a Class II licence, enabling the company to legally stream its live casino games in the country. The approval follows the company’s investment in a dedicated live casino studio in Bucharest, further strengthening its presence in the European gaming market.

Imagine Live gains ONJN approval

With this new licence, ImagineLive, through subsidiary ImagineLive Ro, is qualified to offer a live dealer casino game to Romania-based operators. This is significant for the firm as it relates to its expanding strategy, within a short timeframe, having also entered the Sweden, Georgia and Serbia markets.

According to Martin Martirosyan, Imagine Live‘s chief executive officer, the company focuses on high-quality live gaming. Investment in Bucharest live casino studio

Imagine Live’s expansion into Romania aligns with its recent investment in a state-of-the-art live casino studio in Bucharest. This facility will host live dealer games designed for Romanian players, offering customised tables and premium gaming experiences.

Martirosyan further explained, “Imagine Live is equally committed to providing premium and customised live dealer solutions with bespoke tables and studios for our Romanian operator partners to ensure a complete brand experience that players enjoy and return to, which drives deeper engagement and revenue opportunities.”

Growing European market presence

Imagine Live has been slowly building its presence in the European gaming market. The company won a license from the Swedish Gambling Authority in 2023, and then in August, Imagine Live entered Georgia by partnering with Betlive.

The company continued its growth by launching live dealer tables in Serbia in December 2023, in partnership with King.rs. These strategic market entries position Imagine Live as a key player in the European live casino sector.

Leadership changes to support expansion

The company’s recent growth has been accompanied by key leadership changes. In May 2024, Imagine Live appointed Barry Mahon as its new Chief Commercial Officer (CCO). His expertise is expected to drive further expansion and strengthen relationships with operators in newly regulated markets.
