iSoftbet sets sights on Greece with new licensing deal
iSoftbet is gearing up to enter its 20th regulated market after acquiring a distribution license in the newly regulating Greek market by the Hellenic Gaming Commission (HGC).
The A2 Greek license will allow iSoftBet to provide both its proprietary and third-party content this summer to Greek licensed operators such as Betsson and Interwetten through its GAP platform. The leading online games supplier is already licensed to operate in major markets such as the UK and Malta. The company also has the approval to distribute content in jurisdictions including Germany, Italy, and Spain. 
The acquisition marks another landmark achievement for the company, who within the last two years, has successfully managed to create tailored portfolios of products for jurisdictions covered by Malta, Switzerland, Sweden, and Colombia. The company has also recently teamed up with Doradobet, to expand its reach in Peru. Following the announcement, iSoftBet’s compliance manager Mark Halstead said:
“We are very proud to be awarded our Greek license and will look to continue improving our compliance programme further with new and upcoming marketing requirements for our games as these are announced”.
Commenting on the launch in the Greek market the company’s chief commercial officer, Federica Faggiano, expressed her optimism detailing the significance of bringing iSoftBet’s portfolio to the Greek market due to the country’s previously untapped potential. Faggiona went on to state that the newly acquired license will further solidify iSoftBet’s status as a leader in compliance excellence.
