Jeju Dream Tower, Lotte Tour’s Korean integrated resort, has reported a rise in casino revenue for March 2025. For the month, the casino reported a 46.5 percent year-on-year increase in revenue, reaching a total of KRW 32.50 billion ($22.1 million).
According to the Korea Exchange filing, the casino’s revenue soared by 43.7 percent compared to the previous month’s figure. Table games continued to drive the revenue of Jeju Dream Tower, registering KRW 30.93 billion for the month of March. This marked a 46.3 percent year-on-year increase, and a 49.3 percent jump compared to February 2025.
Gaming machines also showed encouraging growth, with revenue reaching KRW 1.57 billion in March. This represents a 50.4 percent increase compared to the same month last year. However, this figure marked a slight decline of 17.4 percent from February 2025. In contrast, the hotel sector encountered difficulties, with revenue dropping in March. The company reported that revenue from the hotel sector fell to KRW 4.1 billion, marking a 25.3 percent year-on-year decline and a 9 percent decrease from January.
Looking at the first-quarter performance, Jeju Dream Tower’s casino revenue for the first three months of 2025 totaled KRW 84.54 billion. This marks a 20.8 percent increase from the first quarter of 2024. On the other hand, hotel revenue for the first quarter of 2025 amounted to KRW 14.09 billion, which represents a 15.9 percent decrease from the same period in 2024.
In 2024, South Korea’s two casinos recorded a rise in revenue. Paradise Co, a leading South Korean operator of foreigner-only casinos, achieved a 10.2 percent increase in annual casino revenue for 2024. Meanwhile, the Jeju Dream Tower also reported improved performance.
The venue leveraged its unique position as a tourist hub to attract foreign visitors, contributing to the overall growth of South Korea’s gaming industry. Jeju Dream Tower is the tallest building in Jeju at 38 floors or 169 meters high. It features a retail mall, 14 restaurants and bars, an outdoor pool deck, top floor skydeck with lounge, two spas and a casino. The tower boasts about 150 tables and 300 slot machines.
Relocated from smaller Lotte Hotel Jeju in June 2021, the tower used to cover 5,000 square meters, offer 141 gaming tables, 190 slot machines and 71 electronic table games.
According to the company, Jeju Dream Tower earned KRW276.5 billion in casino revenue in 2024, a 93.3 percent year-on-year increase, continuing its post-COVID recovery. However, the company added that its hotel revenue fell by 7.8 percent.
