The Australian publicly listed gambling machine manufacturer Aristocrat has partnered with the City of Dreams Manila to donate 1,700 food packages to medical infrastructure sites across 10 hospitals and medical centers in Manila, Philippines.

Lloyd RobsonLloyd Robson, general manager of Aristocrat (Asia-Pacific) said in a press release “We’re committed to helping wherever we can, and this is just one way that Aristocrat is giving back to the communities in which we live and work.

“These food packages were distributed in the area of Paranaque in Manila to enable the community, staff, and families to have access to essential food ingredients,”. He added: “City of Dreams has also worked with local hospitals … to provide medical supplies and food donations for medical staff throughout the crisis.”

Aristocrat is a gaming equipment supplier, supplying to a number of major casinos in the Philippines. The company produced its first machine in 1953, and was listed on the Australian Stock Exchange in 1996.

The country’s regulator, PAGCOR, as well as several Casino operators in the Philippines have made contributions to the nation’s fight against the Covid-19 pandemic. PAGCOR said it has already facilitated the distribution of PHP 200 million worth of essential items from the Entertainment City casino licensees and P150 million worth of hospital supplies from its Philippine Offshore Gaming Operators (POGO) licensees. As we recently reported the gaming supplier FBM also stepped up to help the Philippines fight the coronavirus outbreak, donating PHP20 million ($392,500) to five medical institutions.
