Meghalaya Government launches India’s first digital lottery platform

The Meghalaya Government has introduced EasyLottery, India’s first fully digital lottery platform. It integrates end-to-end digital processes, offering a seamless experience from ticket purchasing to prize distribution. This innovative launch, celebrated by Chief Minister Conrad Sangma (pictured above), marks a significant shift towards enhancing transparency and professionalism within the sector. He highlighted that, unlike traditional lottery systems and online games with dubious practices, EasyLottery aims to provide a clear and honest alternative.

CM Sangma said, “Happy to launch EasyLottery.in, India’s pioneering fully digital lottery platform. With the 1st Winner Prize of Rs 50 crore, the platform guarantees an unmatched experience, marked by transparency and efficiency, from ticket buying to prize disbursal, thereby revolutionising the sector.”

Impact of EasyLottery on State

EasyLottery is expected to significantly contribute to Meghalaya’s revenue through GST collection. This new revenue stream is anticipated to boost the state’s economy and support various development projects.
