NFL training camps spotlight pro football futures

The upcoming National Football League Season doesn’t officially kick off until September 9, when the Dallas Cowboys head to Tampa Bay to face the Buccaneers

But for PayPerHead bookie software agents and their players, the NFL betting season officially started on July 27, when most NFL clubs headed to training camps.

The start of training camps signals to bookmaking agents that offer free betting software to start promoting NFL future options.

Future options are any wagers with a result happening at a later date. For example, betting on Kansas City quarterback Patrick Mahomes to win NFL MVP is a future play. So is making a bet on an NFL squad to win Super Bowl 56 next year.

Agents promote future betting action up to NFL Week 1. Once the National Football League Season starts, players switch gears and focus on the spread, moneyline, and over/under total options.

Every year, NFL sports bettors wager over $100 billion through licensed sportsbooks. The league will have a Week 18 this year, which means every team plays 17 games. The added week could boost betting action.

Per Nate Johnson, PayPerHead’s Product Manager, the best part of being a price per head bookie is that agents mustn’t compete with licensed sportsbooks to run successful companies.

“Most of our agents provide betting services to clients they’ve known for a while. We do offer master agent tools. But even if an agent becomes a master agent, most subs under the master agents provide sportsbook software to players they know.”

“Also, at PayPerHead, we use proprietary software. It’s on par, and sometimes better, than the software larger online sportsbooks use. Our agents can create any player site level they require. If they provide wagering services to casual players, no problem. If they’ve got pro handicappers as clients, also no problem,” Johnson added.

Johnson said that because of the company’s experience, PayPerHead originated in 1997, the organization decided to offer their $3 per head until the 2022 Super Bowl promo in July. “We knew that online bookie agents prepare for football before August. Releasing the promotion on July 1, which provides a 77% discount to our usual rate, helped our new agents get a head start on the 2021-2022 National Football League Season.”
