Parimatch changes spheres of influence

Since 2019, Parimatch has been the leading betting brand in Africa, Asia, and Latin America, and it has shown rapid growth for five years. A year after being blocked in Ukraine and three months after a board change, the company’s Brazilian domain under Growe was acquired by Vbet, which automatically transfers players to its platform. Thus, since December 2024, the bookmaker has continued to operate in Brazil under the Vbet brand.

At the end of last year, Vbet received an operating licence from the Brazilian Ministry of Finance, and the acquisition of a well-known brand is designed to support the operator’s progress in the new market.

A shift in strategy towards new markets for Growe

According to Anton Rublevsky, CEO of Growe, the deal is the first sale of a ready-to-operate business for the company. ‘This agreement represents a shift in our strategy towards expansion into new markets in Latin America,’ Rublevsky added.

For Vbet’s development, this takeover is a landmark one, notes the company’s CEO, Aragats Asatryan. This action positions it as a powerful player in the global market and allows it to take advantage of Parimatch’s extensive client base and expertise. 

Parimatch brand development in other regions

For specialised Indian media, Parimatch is still the No. 1 global betting platform. In early 2025, the company proudly announced a partnership with multi-platinum Indian rap mogul DIVINE to become a global brand ambassador.

Parimatch is also a regional sponsor of the Argentine Football Association, title sponsor of the Antigua & Barbuda Falcons cricket team, and a Caribbean Premier League (CPL) franchise. This year, the company has already managed to become the title sponsor of Sunrisers Eastern Cape, a South African professional Twenty20 cricket franchise team. Trinidadian cricket stars Nicholas Pooran and Sunil Narine also represent the brand for their country. 

Despite significant changes, the Cyprus-headquartered company is expanding into various international markets, utilising innovative strategies and a proven technology base to maintain a competitive edge in the iGaming industry.
