Philippines-based Dafabet announces significant partnership with Argentina’s football association

Philippines-headquartered online gambling operator Dafabet has signed an agreement to partner with Argentina’s football association for the entire Asian region. Dafabet is Asia’s largest bookmaker and already sponsors a number of European football leagues and diverse sports worldwide.  The agreement is for a year and will end in 2024. Dafabet welcomed the Argentine Football Association to its platform endorsing it as one of the “most important brands” in sports today. The company added that AFA is an important strategic partner for Dafabet’s global marketing plans.

In recent years, AFA has developed a strong expansion in world markets, but above all in Asia. Thanks to hard teamwork, our association continues to celebrate agreements like the one we celebrate today with Dafabet. I welcome Dafabet to the sponsorship platform of our Selection” Claudio Tapia, President – Argentine Football Association

The Argentine Football Association has already achieved a superb reputation in its global sponsorship expansion. It continues to consolidate its ambitious strategy with this partnership to expand its brand exposure globally. Argentina are the reigning world champions, having won the FIFA World Cup 2022 in Qatar. This makes the brand very attractive in the Asian and global market and can translate into more lucrative contracts and sponsorship agreements such as the one with Dafabet. The Association say that this deal will impact “the volume of its income”. With this agreement, Dafabet also becomes the Asian regional sponsor of the Argentine national teams.

We are very proud to announce the partnership with AFA, which needs no introduction. In terms of international football, partnering with Argentina as the reigning world champions couldn’t be bigger. As with all of our partners, we wish them the best of luck, especially in the bid for a record 16th Copa América title.” John Cruces, Head of Sponsorships – Dafabet

Argentine Football Association

The Buenos Aires-based Argentine Football Association organises the main divisions of the Argentine football league – from premier to local leagues and regulates competitive football activity in Argentina. It also manages the Olympic squads, women’s football, youth and futsal.

It was established in 1893 and is the oldest football association in South America. A second association was formed in 1919 organising local championships but the two leagues merged into one in 1927. Although most clubs in Argentina turned professional, some clubs preferred to remain amateur and more informal. More recently in 2017, the Association created a new entity which organised the organisation of the Premier League only. Today significant football associations in the country are regulated by the Argentine Football Association.

Philippines-based Dafabet was founded in 2004 and provides in-play gaming sports events such as FIFA World Cup, Barclays Premiere League, the US Open amongst many other high profile events. The company provides live streaming and broadcasting of such events via the internet. Its gaming platform is provided by Playtech, a leading software provider for Dafabet’s casino online games, poker, slots and arcade games. The company first started its operations in Asian countries and then expanded to sponsor UK football clubs such as Bournemouth, Norwich City and Aston Villa. The company is also regulated by the UK Gambling Commission and holds a licence under its subsidiary AsianBNGE (Isle of Man) Limted. Dafabet also  offer an online affiliate programme on its betting platform for website owners and advertisers.
