Philippine’s Bren Esports rakes in millions after being crowned World’s Mobile Legends Champion

Bren Esports won nearly half of the P14.4 million prize pool as the Philippine Esports Team walked away with an estimated P6.7million

On January 24, The Philippine EsportsTeam – Bren Esports – made history, winning the Mobile Legends: Bang Bang M2 World Championship title raking in $140,000 (around P6.7 million) of the total $300,000 (P14.4-million) prize pool.

Bren Esports returned home millions of pesos richer after edging out Burmese Ghouls, 4-3, in a best-of-seven thriller in Shangri-La Hotel Singapore, while defeating 11 other teams for the grand prize.

BrennThe Filipino squad was up 2-0 early, but their Myanmar counterparts rallied and won the next three games to take the upper hand.
Facing defeat, Bren banked on experience to force a decider and steal the victory.

Prior to the title face-off, Bren eliminated Alter Ego and RRQ Hoshi of Indonesia. Bren’s Carry Karl ‘KarlTzy’ Nepomuceno, bagged $3,000 (around P140,000) of his own after being dubbed Finals Most Valuable Player honors.

The other Bren Esports members are namely – CJ ‘Ribo’ Ribo, David Charles ‘FlapTzy’ Canon, Angelo Kyle ‘Pheww’ Arcangel, Ejhay ‘Ejhay’ Sambrano, and Mico ‘Coco’ Sampang – who will also get an exclusive Mobile Legends skin to highlight its triumph, with the team choosing the hero Chou for the in-game upgrade.

In November last year, THE WORLDS of boxing and Esports connected recently with Manny “Pacman” Pacquiao agreeing to be the Philippine ambassador for the popular multiplayer online battle arena (MOBA) game Mobile Legends: Bang Bang (MLBB).
