Playzia, one of the fastest-growing names in iGaming, has announced a partnership with ITV Studios to develop a series of online games inspired by the hit reality show Love Island. The deal spans three years and will see the release of ten new games, incorporating a mix of slot, crash, and instant play formats.
Playzia has grafted hard to ensure these titles are “100% our type on paper,” with the first three games launching in 2025, just in time for Love Island UK’s summer season. The dramatic reality show airs in 27 territories and has racked up over two billion streams since 2017, so a playable spin-off is sure to turn heads.
The first game, Love Island: Love in a Spin, is scheduled for release in April 2025 and features Mega Symbols and Win Multipliers. The second title, Love Island: Instant Match, drops in May and offers fast-paced, instant play, perfect for players looking for a quickie. Finally, Love Island: Love Bus will be launching in July, taking players on an adrenaline-fueled crash game ride that will have hearts pumping.
All three games will be showcased at iGB London, giving industry professionals and fans a sneak peek before the summer season of Love Island officially kicks off.
This partnership marks another step in Love Island’s evolution beyond television. By creating interactive gaming experiences, fans can enjoy a more immersive way to engage with the show’s themes.
“This brand relationship is an important step for Playzia as we bring one of the world’s most beloved franchises to life in a new and interactive way,” Playzia CPO Vlad Modorcea said. “Our team is working to create games that reflect the excitement of the show while integrating the engaging features that players expect from Playzia.”
Steve Watling, SVP of Gaming, Global Partnerships at ITV Studios, added: “We are very excited to be launching these new Love Island iGaming products. The Love Island brand has grown significantly, and this partnership with Playzia will complement that expansion.”
In addition to its partnership with ITV, Playzia has signed a strategic agreement with Light & Wonder, which sees Playzia’s portfolio added to its content marketplace. With the distribution power of Light & Wonder behind them, Playzia will reach a diverse global network of operators and players, making their games even more accessible worldwide.
As part of the deal, the upcoming Love Island games will have an exclusive two-week early access window on Light & Wonder’s platform before their general release.
Modorcea commented: “We are pleased to see our games go live on Light & Wonder’s content marketplace. Their extensive reach makes them an ideal partner as we expand our audience. This agreement underscores the quality and appeal of our slot games.”
Steve Mayes, Senior Director, Partners at Light & Wonder iGaming, added: “We’re excited to welcome Playzia to our content marketplace. Their variety of game types aligns with our goal of bringing new and engaging content to operators and players.”
Love Island has captivated over 36 million viewers worldwide since its first episode back in 2015. Now, thanks to Playzia and ITV Studios, fans have a new way to enjoy the thrill of the chase. With the series celebrating a decade of dramatic recouplings, cheeky chats, and unforgettable moments, this collaboration couldn’t have come at a better time.
