Jim “Mattress Mack” McIngvale places a $2 million wager to win $20 million on the Houston Astros at 10-1 to win the World Series

Mattress Mack has made another big wager on one of his favorite teams. On Tuesday McIngvale reportedly risked a $2 million wager on the Houston Astros to win the World Series at 10-1 through William Hill Sportsbook.

Astros The possible payout is $22 million and this would be penned down as the largest payout in United States sports betting history.

Caesars Entertainment co-president of sports Eric Hession in a statement said “This is a potentially historic bet, and it’s one that we love to take. We pride ourselves on our flexible limits in our sportsbooks and sports betting apps. This wager certainly makes baseball season a little more exciting for us, and we’re looking forward to seeing how that plays out.”

Back in February “Mattress Mack” won a $3.46m bet on the Tampa Bay Buccaneers. This is not the only bet he has placed. He has another $1 million wager on Houston to win it at 10-1 odds with Fanduel, $250,000 on Houston at DraftKings, and $100,000 with The Score in Colorado at 16-1 apiece.

At 70 years old, McIngvale is constantly looking at new ways to stay ahead of the curve on sales, marketing, and advertising concepts.
