Prime Minister Robert Abela, together with the Minister for the Economy, Enterprise, and Strategic Projects, Silvio Schembri, joined SiGMA Group Founder, Eman Pulis, Malta Gaming Authority CEO, Charles Mizzi, and CEO of Gaming Malta, Ivan Filletti for the inauguration of the SiGMA Group’s new Malta office.

During his visit, Prime Minister Robert Abela emphasized the significance of this step, not only for SiGMA but also for Malta’s economy. “Today, we are not only witnessing the new offices of SiGMA but also celebrating an economic success that reflects the ambition and vision of our country. The iGaming industry remains one of the economic pillars of Malta, and through solid regulation, technological innovation, and exceptional talent, we will continue to strengthen our position as a leading center in the field of digital gaming.”

This investment is a “step forward for the gaming industry in Malta”, he added, not only strengthening SiGMA’s presence in Malta but also demonstrating the immense potential of the international conference industry. He confirmed that the government is already supporting this growth by preparing plans for a new conference center, which will further boost Malta’s tourism and economic sectors, with a focus on quality.

SiGMA Group founder Eman Pulis shared his excitement about this new phase for Malta, which has seen the Malta office “double its footprint.” He revealed that this year, the organisation will strengthen its presence in Belgrade and expand operations with the newly established office in Noida, India. Looking ahead to next year, further growth is planned with expansion to offices located in Cyprus, Manila, and São Paulo.

“In ten years we’ve managed to attract 100,000 delegates from the industry – and this is a milestone which I personally am very proud of. Moving forward over the next ten years we want to become a true authority, nurturing relationships with at least 100 governments and regulators worldwide.” He confirmed that SiGMA has set up a new department to cater for this.

SiGMA Group started from a small office in Malta and has now grown into an international organisation with over 250 employees across various countries. This year alone, SiGMA will organize seven major events, including SiGMA Euro-Med in September at the Malta Mediterranean Hub in Marsa and SiGMA Central Europe in November at the Fiera Roma in Rome.

He went on to say that, “Over the next decade, SiGMA will enter its most ambitious phase of growth. We plan to expand our presence in more cities across the United States, Asia, Africa, and the Middle East. At the same time, we will organize more events and open new offices, including in Las Vegas. Our goal is clear: to become one of the top three global leaders in our field while proudly representing Malta as a key center in this sector,” stated Eman Pulis.
