Resort World Casino to open hotel at Aqueduct Racetrack, New York

The plan calls for an eight-story, 400-room hotel, set to open in 2021

With the impact of COVID-19, the performance of major hotels in the United States suffered heavy losses.

According to the New York Post, Resorts World Casino, a subsidiary of Genting United States, announced on Monday (12th) that it will open a new hotel on the Aqueduct Racetrack in Queens, New York City. 

Genting appoints Bob DeSalvio to lead Resorts World properties in New York StateThe new hotel will be built next to the casino, close to the John F. Kennedy International Airport (JFK Airport), hence the name JFK International Airport (Hyatt Regency JFK). 

The hotel is expected to be 8 floors high and cover 400 rooms. It is scheduled to open in 2021. 

Bob DeSalvio, President of Genting New York Business Unit, said: ‘The world-renowned brand Hyatt will provide Resorts World casino with the opportunity to enter the global travel and tourism market and showcase our unparalleled hotel, gaming, catering and entertainment services.
