Rivalry Corp adopts Trump’s meme coin for user payments

Rivalry Corp, a digital-focused sportsbook and iGaming operator, has become one of the first platforms to integrate Donald Trump’s official Solana-based cryptocurrency ($TRUMP) as a payment method. This move, launched ahead of the U.S. Presidential inauguration, is part of Rivalry’s strategy to harness cultural moments and expand its cryptocurrency gambling offerings.
The integration of $TRUMP, which currently has a fully diluted value surpassing $30 billion, allows Rivalry users to deposit and wager with the cryptocurrency.
Steven Salz, Co-Founder and CEO of Rivalry, highlighted that meme coins represent monetised attention, with the launch of $TRUMP ahead of the inauguration exemplifying the intersection of internet and crypto culture. He emphasised the coin’s rapid success, surpassing $30 billion in value, as a reflection of its resonance with these cultural moments.
As part of the launch, Rivalry users who wager with $TRUMP will receive exclusive rewards through February 1, 2025, including a 20x multiplier on NUTZ, the platform’s native token. The reward scheme celebrates the upcoming Presidential inauguration, reinforcing the company’s crypto-first approach.
Plans for more cryptocurrency methods soon
The iGaming operator also plans to accept various major cryptocurrencies and meme coins as deposit options in near future, with plans for further expansion in the crypto gambling sector. This might reinforce Rivalry’s position at the forefront of the evolving crypto-gambling landscape.
This follows as the President-elect Donald Trump launched his Solana-based crypto currency less than 24 hours earlier, just ahead of the 20 January 2025 inauguration.
Donald Trump’s newly launched $TRUMP meme coin has already made a massive impact on the cryptocurrency market, debuting with a stellar $14.5 billion valuation on January 18, just days before his inauguration as the 47th President of the United States.
Trump pushes for $TRUMP coin
This latest venture adds to Trump’s growing merchandise portfolio, which includes products like perfumes, colognes, and “Trump Watches” celebrating his election win.
The coin was unveiled via Trump’s social media platform ‘X’ (formerly Twitter), where he introduced it as his “official Trump meme,” encouraging his followers to join his community and get involved. “It’s time to celebrate everything we stand for: WINNING! Get your $TRUMP now,” he wrote.
Trump is a known vocal supporter of the cryptocurrency industry, and has long championed the sector. His presidential campaign saw backing from several crypto-connected billionaires, and he expressed intentions to make the U.S. the “crypto capital of the planet.”
In addition, his 2016 election victory helped propel Bitcoin to new heights.
