Ryan Pace appointed new MGA Chairman

Lawyer Ryan Pace has just been appointed as the new Chairman at the Malta Gaming Authority. The MGA, who has always exhibited at SiGMA Europe, is bringing in new creative talent to stimulate fresh thinking on its regulatory board.

Chairman MGAHis role will be to oversee the strategic development of the Authority and ensure that the set policy and strategic objectives are achieved. He will also be responsible for policy development and overall risk management.

Pace read for a degree in law at the University of Malta, obtaining his Bachelor of laws degree (L.L.B) in 2014, his Diploma of Notary Public the following year and his Doctor of Laws degree in 2017.

In 2018 Ryan was awarded the warrant by the President of Malta to practice as a lawyer in Malta and has since then practiced litigation in the courts of Malta and Gozo.

This news comes following the appointment of Carl Brincat as the MGA’s CEO last January. Brincat, is also a lawyer by profession. He joined the MGA’s legal team in 2014 and was part of the legislative overhaul for the gaming industry in Malta which saw a new regulatory framework being implemented.
