Erik Estavillo files a 56-page lawsuit against the video game platform

Streaming platform Twitch is being sued by a viewer for $25 million USD. The plaintiff, Erik Estavillo, is a self-proclaimed sex addict who filed the complaint to the County of Santa Clara’s Superior Court in California.

In documents obtained by Dexerto, Estavillo explains he suffers from a number of medical conditions making him reliant on the internet, and websites like Twitch, for entertainment. Two of the medial conditions referenced in the documents are sex addiction and OCD amongst others. He is suing the company accusing the site of exposing him to “overly suggestive and sexual content from various female streamers.” Estavillo has already sued other gaming giants with millions of users like Nintendo, Sony and Microsoft among others.

The Plantiff’s Request for Relief.

The lawsuit stated that “Twitch takes advantage of the plaintiff and many other sexually addicted viewers by allowing them to ‘Subscribe, Donate, or Pay Bits’ to these women streamers,

Twitch uses this immediate gratification reward system against their sexually addicted viewers no different than how a Casino would.’

In his lawsuit Estavillo also mentions how many children under legal age, use Twitch for entertainment purposes and that they may become the victim of such “sexual content” like Twitch promotes.

In his 56 page lawsuit Estavillo includes images of women wearing provocative clothing while streaming games online. Twitch’s content creators make millions of dollars through advertising, paid subscriptions and donations from viewers.
