The region of San Juan, Argentina reopens its casinos with strict sanitary measures

Under the sanitary protocol approved in June, casinos of the province reopened under regulated sanitary measures

After new restrictions were imposed on casinos on September 19 due to the recent outbreak, casinos in the province of San Juan had to remain closed and non operating. The company Ivisa has just been approved by the government for reopening San Juan’s gambling halls, including the bingo halls on General Acha sreet, the hall on Mendoza and Mitre streets, the casino of Hotel del Bono, the hall on Rawson, the hall on Caucete, and the casino on Benavídez.

The installations will have to apply protocols that was operational since July 1st, when a temporary reopening took place.

The halls are able to open form 9 a.m till midnight, and employees and customers in the installations must use face masks at all time, alcohol and hand sanitizers are to be provided at all times, and the temperature of all attending to be taken, as explained by the Gaming Workers Union (Aleara), Andrés Mercado.

Some machines in the gambling halls will be turned off, as a distance of one and a half meters between them must be maintained, in addition to the use of acrylic separators. The maximum capacity will be reduced to 30% of the usual, and the bars will remain closed in order to prevent gatherings of a lot of customers, until the provincial authorities find a way to re-introduce these services again.
