From 14 to 19 March in Amsterdam, the World Series of Poker Circuit 2025 (WSOPC) took place, where the Ukrainian players performed in seven finals of the ring tournaments out of eight possible, taking more than 40 prizes. Oleksandr Novoselskyi took the win and the ring, while Dmytro Tulin finished sixth in the €1,100 Pot-Limit Omaha event. Tetiana Bondarchuk (pictured) was fourth in the Starter event.
Novoselsky, the coach of the Ukrainian national poker team, received €31,402 for his place as champion, which was well above his expectations. In heads-up play, the Ukrainian beat out German poker school representative Tim Reusch, who took home €21,000 in prize money.
March’s performance at the WSOPC was one of the most successful for the Ukrainian national poker team sponsored by VBET. In the 316-entry NLH 300 Re-entry event for €89,105, three Ukrainians made the final table: Artem Berlyand finished second for €11,344, with Ivan Bozhenko and Maxim Filipovsky in fifth and sixth place respectively. The Main Event saw the best result among Ukrainians, with Nazary Piznak moving up to sixth place with a payout of €38,570. By comparison, the winner of the tournament, Spaniard Jordi Ruiz, received €130,590 in prize money. The total prize pool for the 1,505-entry Dutch tournament was almost €1.5 million.
Tetiana Bondarchuk, the only woman on the Ukrainian team at this tournament, finished in fourth place in the WSOPC Starter event. The event consisted of 428 entries and a €201,000 prize pool, of which the Ukrainian won €13,035. She was joined at the final table by Alexey Lezhepekov, but his result was eighth place and €4,526.
One step away from 3-max, Bondarchuk eliminated David Kim with a pair of kings in hand. The Starter winner was Dutchman Tim van der Riet, who defeated both David Kim and Carlo Wolters in a heads-up play. The first line earned the Dutch representative the sum of €35,625.
The next appearance of the national team is scheduled for the end of April at the Ukrainian Sports Poker Championship, organised by the All-Ukrainian Sports Poker Federation in Lviv.
