MGM China and Wynn Macau have announced a salary hike for eligible employees. Wynn’s hikes are effective from 1 March whereas MGM China will be increasing salaries effective 24 March.
MGM has announced a 2.5 percent increment for eligible team members in a programme that will benefit 99 of its team members. Staff with a monthly salary of or less than MOP16,000 will receive a hike of MOP600. This would represent a 2.5-5.5 percent increment.
“We extend our heartfelt gratitude to our team members for their wholehearted dedication in moving forward hand in hand with the company,” said Pansy Ho, Chairperson and Executive Director of MGM China.
“In the new year, MGM will fully support the policy implementation of the SAR Government as always; pragmatically promote the development all-for-one cultural tourism, while working with the team to continue enrich the essence of Macau as ‘One Center, One Platform, One Base’.”
Wynn Macau, on the other hand, has announced a 2.5- 5.7 percent salary increase for Wynn Macau and Wynn Palace employees, excluding senior management. The increment will benefit around 98 percent of the current 11,527 workforce, stressing that it comes “in appreciation of their extraordinary contribution to the company’s growth and success.”
Wynn’s employees with a monthly salary of MOP16,000 or below will receive a salary increase of MOP600. This would represent a hike of 3.8- 5.7 percent. Whereas those with a monthly salary above MOP16,000 will receive an average of a 2.5 percent salary hike.
The company had announced a special allowance equivalent to one month’s salary, it was paid on 21 January.

As we step into the new year, we anticipate moving further forward with all our team members to make great achievements together for Macao.”
With Wynn announcing salary hikes, all six gaming concessionaires in Macau have announced increments for eligible employees. SJM Resorts and Melco Resorts became the third and fourth Macau concessionaires to announce the staff salary hike in recent weeks following Sands China and Galaxy Entertainment Group.
The concessionaires have also announced discretionary one-month salary bonuses to be paid between January and early February this year.
