Wynn Resorts at full capacity with vaccinated staff

Nevada gov. expects full capacity in entire state by June

With immediate effect, Wynn Resorts will return to full capacity in its two Las Vegas strip casinos, Encore and Wynn. It is now the first strip operator in Las Vegas to work at 100% capacity since March 2020, when the Covid-19 pandemic forced all casinos to close.

Wynn Resorts SiGMA NewsWith 88% of its employees having received full vaccination, the move was approved by the Nevada Gaming Control Board. This exceeds the forecast of Nevada gov. Steve Sisolak, who had announced that casinos would be able to work at 80% starting from May, and possibly 100% from June onwards, if companies were to commit to full staff vaccination.

The Wynn Resorts staff was subsequently obliged to either be fully vaccinated or to provide weekly negative tests. This policy gave the Las Vegas enterprise a head start in post-pandemic competition, even though the company will continue to maintain an indoor mask mandate.

Plexiglass dividers and distancing requirements have been removed, revealing the quick pace towards the end of the Covid-19 tunnel. The head start of Wynn Resorts is a predecessor to a possibly soon to boom again Las Vegas.
