James is a Malta Advocate and a Solicitor of the Senior Court of England and Wales. He has practiced law in the UK and Malta both in private practice and as in house counsel. James is ranked as one of leading gaming & gambling lawyers globally by Chambers & Partners.
His Education in Law started with B.A. in Law & Sociology at the University of Malta, continuing with a Master in Law at the London’s Global University and afterwards achieving the Legun Doctor in Law at the University of Malta
Specialist in M&A, gambling regulation and licensing, devising strategic commercial solutions within a regulated environment, sport sponsorship, brand protection, international corporate and tax structuring, joint ventures. Most recently he gave the welcome Speech to the Regulations and Compliance Conference at the Main Stage of our SiGMA Conference during Malta Week, the first Festival where we combined 4 Conferences in one Event, kicking off a new Post – Covid age of innovation and commerce.
