Jed Corenthal is an experienced executive and entrepreneur, merging content with technology building companies in Real-time video streaming, OTT, mobile marketing and development and branded emoji’s. Mr. Corenthal spent his first 15 years in senior marketing and business development roles at SONY, the AVP and the NFL.
Currently, Mr. Corenthal serves as the Chief Marketing Officer at Phenix and oversees business development leveraging his many senior level contacts in driving new business. Mr. Corenthal also spearheads the sports betting business for the company. Phenix builds global IP video solutions. The company has built technology from the ground up to deliver high quality, synchronous streams to broadcast size audiences with less than ½ second of latency, or delay.
Prior to Phenix, Mr. Corenthal launched meemo, a company focused on selling customized entertainment branded virtual goods and emoji’s (or, stickers) on global platforms including, Xbox, WeChat, Kakao, Viber and Tango. Mr. Corenthal saw a successful exit in 2013.
At the NFL, Mr. Corenthal spearheaded the NFL brand in advertising and sponsorship integration; at Sony, Mr. Corenthal launched the first ever Cross Platform Sales & Marketing
division.
Mr. Corenthal has a passion for technology and innovation and has been able to identify content development, distribution and technology trends well before they hit critical mass (e.g., realtime video streaming, OTT, mobile, emoji). Mr. Corenthal has managed and mentored small and large staffs and has over 10 years of operating experience.
Mr. Corenthal has been a lecturer at the New York University School of Sports & Entertainment Marketing as well as The Wharton School Entertainment and Sports Marketing program; is a member of the American Cancer Society Sports & Entertainment Committee, Advertising Club of New York, and is the founder of The Entrepreneur’s Club.
Mr. Corenthal received his B.A. from Ithaca College where he majored in Politics and studied music. Mr. Corenthal is an accomplished musician, an avid golfer and a budding chef. He was born and raised in New York City and now lives in Westport, CT with his wife and two children.
