Nicholas Aquilina is an Attroney at Brandl & Talos Attorneys at Law in Vienna. He studied law at the University of Vienna and joined Brandl & Talos in 2009.
Nicholas specializes in international gaming and entertainment law, regulatory and AML/CTF compliance, European Union law, Social Gaming, Fantasy Gaming, E-Sports, Payment and E-Commerce.
Nicholas Aquilina provides regulatory, commercial, general corporate and transactional legal advice to online and land-based gaming and betting companies, including advice and representation of clients at European associations, before EU institutions and the Court of Justice of the European Union.
Nicholas has assisted numerous gaming and betting operators in license application procedures across Europe and the US. He has authored numerous publications, is a frequent speaker at international conferences in his practice areas and is co-author of “Social Gaming in Europe” as well as the first publication on “Bitcoin” published in Austria.
