Yanica Sant holds the role of Group Senior Legal Counsel at William Hill, responsible for regulatory matters. She is based in the London office, and forms part of the Legal team. She was previously General Counsel of the Malta Gaming Authority, having spent just under 8 years there, fulfilling various functions within the legal, policy and enforcement department.

Yanica worked as Legal Trainee – Family Law at Sciriha, Attard Montalto, Galea & Associates – SAGA Juris. SAGA JURIS is a set of chambers, bringing together Advocates from diverse fields and expertise. The focus of its various members is principally on litigation, corporate and commercial advice, financial services, human rights, planning and environment law, property, succession family law, competition and intellectual property law. There are within the group acknowledged figures in their respective fields. A strength of this office is the cross-expertise due to the wider levels of focus of the various Advocates

Yanica Sant studied at GF Abela Junior College in Malta, she sat for Chemistry and Biology A’levels, and English, Philosophy, French, Maltese and Systems of Knowledge at Intermediate level. She is graduated with a Second Upper in Bachelor of Laws in 2013 and carried on studying towards a Doctor of Laws Degree. Awarded a Notary Public diploma in 2014 from University of Malta. She participated in an Erasmus exchange at Università Degli Studi Roma TRE. Then, she holds a master’s degree of Laws, Computer and Communications Law from Queen Mary University of London.

During her studies, Yanica Sant was Group Instructor at AM Language, it’s one of the first English Language schools in Malta. Then, she was an Ambassador for EU Careers for the University of Malta at European Personnel Selection Office.

Yanica was also a Publix Relations Officer at Malta University Sports Club. This is on-profit making organisation and the only student organisation within the University of Malta that deals with sport and fitness.

For one month, Yanica Sant was an EuroJeune Coordinator at Propager.
