A multi-level colorful sequence of exploding fruits, Cherry Bombs slot is a unique take on traditional slot games. Where the slot stands out is its three levels, all accessed by chances of matchsticks lining up with explosive cherries. 

The in-game music, graphics and the general paytable catches your eye with intense gaming, and with each level unlocked, you feel more and more enticed to take the slot further. 

Theme

The game is based on the traditional fruit machine theme. It includes a variety of symbols, such as cherries, blueberries, and raspberries, among others. However, the diamond is the one you should look out for as the highest paying symbol, it triggers the biggest wins. Additionally, it can also act as a wild symbol and bring even more wins to the table. 

The fun starts when the cherries burst in contact with matchsticks, eliminating the concurrent fruits for a reward. There are other kinds of fruits acting as symbols as well, such as watermelons, oranges, and lemons, all of which add an element of color and fun to the grid. 

Graphics, Sounds, and Animations

One of the things that impressed us the most was the game’s soundtrack. Coinciding with the colorful fruits, the music is peppy and easy to hum, lifting players’ spirits at the same time. What’s more, the animations are slick and can be controlled via a button which turns up the speed, essentially allowing you to take control of the animations altogether if you want to. 

The graphics are vibrant but still easy on the eye and not overpowering the gameplay and your gaming goals. Moreover, thanks to the advanced graphics, all the fruits and matchsticks are clearly distinguishable and easy to read. Even in the highest speed setting, you can figure out what is going on by simply observing the grid. 

RTP, Payout, and Volatility

Cherry Bombs is a high volatility slot, which means more risk-to-reward set-up. With an RTP of 95%, Mancala Gaming did not go above and beyond with this release. This is below average RTP, and we would appreciate it to be within the industry standards in terms of the return-to-player payout.  

On the other hand, there are three levels to aim for in terms of payouts. The game has a cascading reel system that can pay out for clusters of 4 to 13 identical symbols. Cherry Bombs has a “Cluster-Win” feature that allows you to win if you match 3 to 5 symbols on a payline and a “Level-Up” meter that displays your level as you progress within the game. 

Gameplay

Using the classic fruit slot game format, Cherry Bombs provides the nostalgic experience you’re looking for, but with bonus features and enhanced graphics. This slot features a cascading reel system that combines high volatility with classic entertainment and three levels of gameplay for players to choose from. 

Cherry Bombs symbols add to the level-up meter on the sides once they explode. The explosion is triggered by a Matchstick symbol, but only once aligned with the fuse of a Cherry Bomb. 

As we mentioned, this is a 5-reel, 3-row slot with a high volatility rate, allowing you to wager from €25 to €2,250 per spin on all three levels. The game also comes with a free spins feature and additional bonus games. There’s also the trusty “Auto-play” control button that allows you to play the game automatically. 

The one downside of Cherry Bombs slot is that it does not bring any wild cards or scatters to the gameplay. This kind of approach is rarely beneficial for regular players and those looking to make a quick buck, especially since these features can increase the payout significantly. 

Features

Cherry Bombs comes with a bunch of exciting features that will surely keep players on the edge of their seats. The game incorporates a progressive slot mechanic with three stages, giving you something to strive toward. On the right side of the screen, there’s a level-up meter that progresses as you trigger sequential explosions of cherry bombs. By advancing through these levels the grid size expands and unlocks opportunities for bigger wins.

Cherry Bomb

Not surprisingly, the cherry bomb is the game’s special symbol. It carries the payoff of 500x your line bet and triggers the “2nd Chance” feature, which allows you to get a second chance at lighting the cherry bomb. 

Levels

Level one game features cascading symbols with the symbols having a 1-in-4 chance of causing an explosion. The matching symbols on the reels boost the level-up meter on the sides of the grid. This meter increases when players land a Cherry bomb. Depending on the level, the Cherry Bomb may explode in a single or double form. 

At level two, players receive five free spins, while the grid enlarges to 5×6, increasing the chances of explosions by matchstick and aligning fruits on the grid. 

At level three, players receive 10 free spins. While using the free spins, Cherry Bomb symbols can also appear in double or single form. However, during the free spins, the level up meter will not decrease. 

The two-way pay feature is activated when three or more wilds appear. The reels will pay in both directions, but from left to right. If the Double-Cherry symbol appears on the fourth reel, it will turn into a Triple-Cherry symbol. This will replace all other symbols and increase the chances of a win.
