Attending SiGMA Americas? 10 things you should know

Our guide will ensure a prime experience before, during, and after our SiGMA Americas event in Toronto

Organising a trip to a foreign country might be difficult, this planning guide has everything you need to know before visiting our world-class expo.

  • Beat the queues: early badge collection

With hundreds of delegates expected at SiGMA Americas, it’s critical to prepare ahead of time to make the most of your time there. The pre-registration process for SiGMA is designed to manage the influx of visitors before the show on June 7th. We’re holding this pre-summit icebreaker at the Westin Harbour Castle Hotel on the 6th of June for delegates. Entrance to this networking event is free to all attendees. Registration desks will also be open for delegates keen to beat the queues and pick up their badges early. To avoid the Tuesday morning lines, SiGMA encourages all visitors to plan ahead and pick up their badges during the pre-registration period. Present a copy of your ticket or a phone confirmation to acquire a badge that serves as a pass for the summit. These badges can also be obtained at any time during the summit from the Enercare Center’s expo registration desk. Simply register here and present your confirmation email on the 6th of June.

  • Keep up with the latest updates during the show: Whova App

Our Whova App will keep you up to date on all the latest information about the event. Whova is a virtual event management tool aiding participants present at the expo to increase engagement and networking. All visitors attending SiGMA Americas will have access to this platform. Attendees will receive an email with instructions on how to get the Whova app. The app will have the most up-to-date event information, including a full agenda, floor plan, dinner locations, as well as networking opportunities for connecting with attendees, speakers, and sponsors.  The platform is simple, quick, and effective, with the goal of increasing ROI by assisting guests in getting the most out of the event.   • Transportation: Free shuttle bus service

You won’t have to worry about getting to our event thanks to our free shuttle bus service. This service aims to reduce traffic, parking needs, and waiting time for our delegates. Shuttle buses to the Enercare Centre will run from 8:30 a.m. to 6:00 p.m, with pick-up stations outside our selected hotels and operating in a circuit every 20-30 minutes to make your journey easier and more direct.

Alternatively, you can get to the Enercare Centre by Bus, Subway, Streetcar or Train.

Bus: 29, 63, 72, 80, 929

Train: LW

Subway: 1

Streetcar: The 509 runs along the harbourfront and stops right across from the Enercare Centre.

  • COVID restrictions in Toronto

In Toronto, COVID restrictions have been repealed; masks are still required on all TTC/public transportation, however, Uber and Lyft make them optional. Please consult the official government travel site for the most up-to-date information.

  • Evening Networking Dinners

Several exclusive dinners will be held during the evenings of the event to facilitate delegate networking.These dinners provide an excellent opportunity to network and make connections in a friendly setting where guests can unwind and forge synergies. The guest list is tightly limited to Premium and Platinum ticket holders, with only invitations and RSVPs ensuring attendance. Premium ticket holders receive one iGathering dinner pass, while Platinum ticket holders receive two iGathering dinner passes of their choice. Check your ticket type and make a request for the dinner you want to attend. With dinners taking place in hotspot venues throughout Downtown Toronto, we’ve got you covered when it comes to meeting the right people in the right place.   • Use ArriveCAN to enter Canada

Download the ArriveCAN mobile app prior to your arrival to reduce wait times at Canadian ports of entry and limit points of contact. Data obtained from the mobile application will be used by the Public Health Agency of Canada to administer and enforce legislation to help contain COVID-19. Whether you are entering Canada by air or by land, the ArriveCAN mobile app enables all incoming travellers to submit information quickly, easily, and securely in order to arrive at their final destination. You must submit your information at least 72 hours before arriving in Canada or before boarding a cruise ship bound for Canada. All international travelers will also need to apply for an eTA visa.   • Finding the location

The summit will be held at the Enercare Centre at Exhibition Place, one of Toronto’s largest venues. The expo and conferences will be held at the same location. This location offers over 1 million square feet of versatile conference space and has eight interconnected exhibit halls that are perfect for the booths exhibiting. One of these connected exposition halls will host SiGMA Toronto. The SiGMA Expo floor is located behind the East Load docs in show hall C.   • Free Closing Night entrance included with all SiGMA tickets

On June 8th, the SiGMA Awards will take place at the famed nightclub Rebel. SiGMA Group will honor prominent firms and individuals who have made important contributions to the industry’s continued growth at the awards. For a night of fantastic beverages, fine dining, and celebration, this night shines a spotlight on the rising talents who have made their imprint on a truly global industry. The night will be followed by a bidding war, with luxury products and artworks auctioned for charity with all proceeds going towards the SiGMA Foundation.
