Jeff Ownby talks about how Affiliate Agency offers everything they need to run a successful affiliate program, from planning to execution. With over 20 years of experience in iGaming, Jeff Ownby added that they have developed an innate ability to know which partner/operator pairing will result in more revenue for both parties and can help each party achieve their goals faster. How did The Affiliate Agency start? Is iGaming your only business type?
Connie Burstin and I have been working with the affiliate program since the beginning of iGaming and have known each other for over 20 years. Finally, we collaborated to collaborate on the partnership program. We decided to start The Affiliate Agency to offer our expertise and connections in the industry. To help entrepreneurs launch or expand their affiliate channels.
We have experience in other areas such as crypto, retail, and dating. However, we focus primarily on The Affiliate Agency for the needs of iGaming providers.
Tell us a little more about your business model, concept, and culture.
We provide everything necessary to run a profitable affiliate program (setup, recruitment, engagement, design, content, etc.) and can also provide all management to one or more of our affiliate managers. We remove all affiliate channels from the provider, which allows him or her to focus on other parts of the business.
What does an affiliate agency offer?
As mentioned above, We offer everything you need to run a successful affiliate program from planning to execution, and can provide all management including staffing affiliate managers.
What sets you apart from other affiliates and what is your added value?
We are different from other affiliates because we are Doers, not just Talkers, as we help entrepreneurs strategize to launch and run a successful affiliate program. The Affiliate Agency goes one step further by doing hands-on work and providing all the experienced affiliate managers and support staff (content writers/designers/developers, etc.) necessary for affiliate marketing success.
Additionally, since we’ve been in iGaming for 20 years, we’ve developed an innate ability to know which partner/operator pairings will result in increased revenue for both parties, and can help each party achieve their goals more quickly.
Which markets are you looking at first and why?
We work with peace of mind in all markets. Our affiliate relationships with marketers from all over the world. We are keeping an eye on the US market due to our proximity, but things are getting more complicated now.
In general, we have seen growth in markets that are not on the radar of many affiliates or service providers. Additionally, due to the pandemic, many traditional casino players have found the opportunity to play their favorite casino games from home. Therefore, there is still potential to expand the iGaming business in many parts of the world.
The pandemic has changed the way businesses are doing business in many ways, and many businesses are doing things differently. Are you doing something different? Does it have a positive impact on your company?
Since we worked in a distributed manner before the pandemic, we were not affected at all.
As mentioned earlier, The pandemic has opened up opportunities in new markets. Expand our customer base
What qualities and skills are needed in an affiliate team/business?
Everyone at The Affiliate Agency has to multitask and make sure that we will constantly match the right Affiliate Agency with the brand. Based on the long-standing evidence in the industry. We maintain a realistic relationship with our partners. But overall, we love iGaming and we love what we do, so bringing that enthusiasm to work every day makes everything easy.
How do you foresee the future of this sector?
Like everyone else, we see mergers. This will make it more difficult for affiliates to comply with rules and regulations. The US market will be something to watch as it develops. At some point, Affiliates will play an important role in marketing in the United States. So, we prepared to see how the channel develops.
How do you choose your operators, and how do you manage relationships with multiple operators?
We are open to working with all established iGaming providers and who we believe we will be able to work with in the long term.
Each entrepreneur has its own business objectives. Therefore, we manage one-on-one relationships depending on the needs of the operators. Our team can scale as needed, and we offer both dedicated and shared affiliate managers. We can easily manage multiple service provider customers.
We recognize that some affiliates may not work well with all providers. Part of our job as an agency is to match with affiliates that we think will work best for each of our clients.
SiGMA Europe, Africa, Asia, or Americas – which of these four exhibitions are you likely to book in your diary in 2021 as COVID-19 allows?
Connie has been to SIGMA before, and she has benefited greatly from this experience. We are now interested in SiGMA, Africa and the Americas.

Jeff – What I like most is relaxing with my wife and kids. I love to go outside to climb as much as possible. I try to mix up outdoor activities or culture for at least half a day while traveling for business. When I’m at home I like to spend time with my family and do a little gardening. My favorite book is The Path to Power by Robert A. Caro.
Connie – I love simplicity in everything I do, and try to enjoy life as much as possible when I’m done with my business. I love singing, dancing, drawing, exercising, and entertaining my family and friends at home with good food and enjoying good conversations. My favorite quote is “Live Life, Don’t Let Life Live You!”
