[WATCH] There’s nothing out there to bet against each other for real money”, Oisin Walsh on SiGMA Pitch

CEO of Playnbrag, Oisin Walsh joins our own Yanni Collins on Startup Spotlight to talk about his peer-to-peer betting in the fantasy sports vertical, allowing you to set up ‘joint’ bets quickly and easily

SiGMA’s Yanni Collins got together with Oisin Walsh, CEO of Playnbrag, to spotlight the sixth of the SiGMA Pitch Startups which is coming out periodically on SiGMA News. SiGMA Pitch is an event by SiGMA which showcases over a hundred different startups and enables them to take the red seat and present their product to an environment surrounded by top investors and mentors helping them to create a good strong network.

The video starts with Yanni asking Walsh what makes Playnbrag unique, and the CEO replies saying how it is the social aspect of it which enables players to set up a bet with their friends in a few seconds. It is a relatively new concept in the industry, something which Walsh recognized to be lacking in the industry, and yet a concept that is brimming with potential. Walsh mentions how for the moment they cater for five global sports; the Premier League, the Champions League, golf, tennis and Formula 1.

Walsh continued saying how the current strategy of the company is putting all its attention on the product, refining it and improving it, to better their attention rate, whilst implementing more social-network-type aspects to the site to give a truly brand new experience. He then closed saying he aims to become the number one social-sports betting company in the English speaking world.
