MELBET onboards legendary South African cricketer Faf du Plessis as new global brand ambassador

MELBET has today announced a partnership with legendary South African cricketer Faf du Plessis as its new global brand ambassador. Considered one of the great South African players of all time, du Plessis, the former South African captain, will support MELBET as it accelerates its marketing efforts internationally.
Across the multi-year partnership brokered by Project 11, du Plessis will appear in international marketing campaigns as well as participate in exciting social media giveaways.
Faf du Plessis is the 7th highest run-scorer in South African history with 11,136 runs in international cricket, compiling 23 centuries and 66 half-centuries. Faf is the first international captain to defeat Australia in Australia in all three formats of the game, as well as being the first captain to defeat them in a 5-0 series whitewash. Having featured in the Indian Premier League since 2012, he is the current captain of Royal Challengers Bangalore and is 6th on the list of top all-time overseas run scorers he won player of the match in last year’s final as he won his fourth IPL title with Chennai Super Kings.
