Alea announces management reshuffle with new CEO and COO

Game aggregation platform Alea has announced a significant change in its leadership. Current CEO Alex Tomic is stepping back from day-to-day operations, making way for Jordi Sendra, (pictured above), the current Chief Operating Officer, to take the helm as the new CEO.

Tomic, who has been leading the business since its inception in June 2012, will transition to a non-executive role, focusing on the company’s overall strategy in emerging markets such as Latam, Africa, and Asia. This move will also allow Tomic to devote more time to his industry commitments outside Alea.

Sendra, who has spent three years at Alea in his current role, has a diverse background. Before joining Alea, he served as the managing director at a manufacturing plant and held several positions in business consultancy. His appointment as CEO is seen as a strategic move to continue the company’s growth trajectory.

New COO Appointment

Ramon Glieneke will replace Sendra as the Chief Operating Officer, responsible for the day-to-day functioning of the business. Glieneke brings with him a wealth of experience in API aggregation from his C-level positions at travel industry firm Apartum and its spin-off, Cerbrium.

Sendra expressed his excitement about leading Alea and welcoming Glieneke to the team. He said, “I’ve been at Alea for the last three years and during this time, I’ve seen the business evolve into one of the most exciting aggregator platforms in our industry. I’m delighted that Alex and the team have put their trust in me to lead this company forward. Ramon’s API aggregation experience gained from working within the travel sector will provide us with a whole new level of knowledge and perspective and will help to ensure our success moving forward.”

Glieneke also shared his enthusiasm about joining Alea, one of the fastest-growing companies in the iGaming industry. He said, “It’s a fantastic opportunity for me to bring my vast experience to the iGaming industry. I’m thrilled to be given the position of COO and look forward to supporting Jordi as we go from strength to strength.”

The management reshuffle at Alea is seen as a strategic move to leverage the diverse experiences of its leadership team and continue its growth in the iGaming industry.
