Allwyn’s partnership with IWG will transform lottery experiences

In a strategic move to enhance its gaming content offerings, multinational lottery operator Allwyn, headquartered in Switzerland, has unveiled a cutting-edge collaboration with Instant Win Gaming (IWG). The partnership is set to boost Allwyn’s gaming portfolio by tapping into IWG’s extensive experience as a global supplier of online instant win games for lotteries, particularly establishing a strong presence in 25 national and state lotteries worldwide, with a notable focus on North America.

Allwyn’s collaboration with IWG is not merely a business alliance but a concerted effort to harness IWG’s expertise in the online instant win games sector. The collaboration will entail close cooperation with IWG’s co-founders, Rhydian Fisher and Simon Bucknall, in order to identify and capitalize on new opportunities in this burgeoning gaming niche.

Path towards gaming excellence

Allwyn’s Chief Information Officer, Stepan Dlouhy, expressed enthusiasm about the collaboration, highlighting its potential to elevate the overall gaming experience for players across international markets. Dlouhy affirmed that the partnership with IWG is instrumental in realizing Allwyn’s ambition to be the operator of choice, emphasizing the value brought by Fisher and Bucknall’s wealth of sector knowledge and creativity.

IWG’s CEO, Rhydian Fisher, echoed the sentiment, expressing excitement about the partnership and its potential to take IWG’s success to new heights. Fisher acknowledged the synergies between Allwyn’s deep understanding of the lottery consumer and IWG’s innovative game development team, envisioning immediate and significant value for existing partners, along with the creation of new opportunities.

Underpinning this collaboration is a significant investment structure, with Allwyn acquiring a substantial 70 percent stake in IWG. The financial resources for this venture will be drawn from Allwyn’s existing assets, positioning the multinational lottery operator as the majority stakeholder in IWG. The investment is slated for closure in the latter half of 2024, subject to customary closing conditions.

This collaboration marks another milestone for Allwyn, following its recent success in securing the Fourth National Lottery Licence. The alliance with IWG underscores Allwyn’s commitment to staying at the forefront of the gaming industry and providing unparalleled user experiences.

Additionally, this development follows a notable collaboration between the British Columbia Lottery Corporation (BCLC) and IWG in October 2023, resulting in the launch of ‘Set for Life’ on PlayNow.com. These collective efforts signify the dynamic and innovative strides being taken in the evolving landscape of online gaming and lottery experiences.
