Better Collective completes acquisition of Playmaker Capital

Better Collective, a global leader in digital sports media, has successfully acquired Playmaker Capital, marking a significant milestone in its expansion strategy. This acquisition, valued at €176 million, positions Better Collective as the frontrunner in digital sports media across South America.

Playmaker Capital, headquartered in Toronto with operations across the United States and Latin America, is renowned for its diverse portfolio of brands. The acquisition expands Better Collective’s global audience to approximately 400 million monthly visits, with over half originating from South America.

A vision realized

This acquisition represents a substantial stride towards Better Collective’s goal of becoming the world’s leading digital sports media group. Established in Denmark in 2004 and listed on the Nasdaq Copenhagen and Stockholm stock exchanges, Better Collective has a global presence with over 20 offices worldwide, including recent establishments in Rio de Janeiro and São Paulo, Brazil.

The acquisition involved the purchase of all issued and outstanding shares of Playmaker Capital. As of this week, Playmaker Capital will be integrated into Better Collective’s financials.
