Digitain mourns gaming industry veteran Peter Nolan’s passing

Digitain announced the passing away of Group R&D Director Peter Nolan in a message on its social media channels.

After learning of Peter Nolan’s passing on Thursday, the company which he formed part of, described him as “unrivalled and inspirational.”

Nolan held the position of Group R&D Director at the provider of iGaming software solutions Digitain. His employment with Digitain began in April 2020 as a Strategic Consultant, and in June of this year, he was promoted to Group R&D Director.

He worked for well-known companies like Ladbrokes and Betfair

Nolan had a lengthy and successful career in the field and was a member of the group that created Ladbrokes in 2001. In 2004, he was promoted to the position of director of client operations at Sky Betting and Gaming.

He started his own gaming consultancy in 2010 and then worked abroad for companies including Codere, Betfair, STV, and Digitain.

He is a seasoned professional with a long career in the gaming industry serving as Suaposta’s CEO in Brazil for the entire 2016 calendar year.

In a social media post, Digitain’s statement read “Digitain’s staff and entire community deeply mourn the passing of our most beloved and respected Peter Nolan, Group R&D Director and one of the company’s pillars. No words can describe how devastated we all are by this loss of a dear friend, an exceptional colleague and a devoted professional.

Unrivalled and inspirational, Peter was one of our best, and we are so fortunate to have had him as an irreplaceable part of our family and an essential chapter in Digitain’s history. He will always be remembered with the highest regard.

With shattered hearts, we extend our deepest sympathy and unwavering support to Peter Nolan’s family.”
