The races

Out of the eight races, the highest turnover was from the Ras Al Khor race where 20 countries were reported to have contributed to the win by Godolphin Stables’ Al Suhail with betting of approximately US $ 4.3 million.  Salute the Soldier won the Al Maktoum Challenge R3 a second time and became 2023 fourth World Pool Moment of the day winner. His groom won a total of US $5,100 and was awarded entry into the World Pool Moment of the Year competition.

World Pool continues to grow year-on-year and we couldn’t be happier to exceed 2022’s Super Saturday turnover total. Having runners from Hong Kong engaged at the meeting really added to the international flavour that is World Pool.” Sam Nati, HKJC Head of Commingling
