Rasim Reiz, Founder of Reizbet.com, joins the latest series of affiliate interviews on Affiliate Grand Slam
Rasim Reiz is one of the 300 affiliates that AGS is flying to SiGMA Malta – follow his story below.
How long have you been in this industry?
I’ve been a football player and a sports fan all my life. However, I’m still very new to betting as an industry. Still, some people might know me from Svenskafans where I co-host Studio Stryktipset, or they might follow me on Twitter where I comment on anything and everything related to football.
What brought you into the affiliate world?
People have been trying to get me involved with betting for years. They have wanted me to write tips for their websites, do audio and video podcasts, engage my audience in social media for their brands, and be the face for their brand and marketing campaigns. However, I’ve only engaged in the things that I’ve truly enjoyed and that were more focused on sports without too much involvement from any brands or other betting related stuff.
Responsible gambling is important to me. I feel that I would need to be able to take full responsibility for any surrounding content that I involved my personal brand with if it was related to anything other than sports. That’s the main reason why I passed on these opportunities.
What eventually brought me into the affiliate world was my good friend who’s been in the industry forever. Working with him and his colleague that I can trust 100% makes a lot of sense. Their industry and SEO knowledge combined with my knowledge and passion for sports makes us a great team.
What are you expecting to get out of the event and what are you most looking forward to?
The networking for sure! Malta and this SiGMA Summit offer a unique opportunity for me to learn more about the industry, connect with new possible partners, and of course meet with the ones that we’ve already established. Moreover, it will be nice to meet up with some friends, friends of friends, and friendly people in general.
Which websites and products fall under your portfolio?
My personal brand Reizbet.com with which we are currently targeting Sweden. The long term plan with this website is to have a native version of the site in every regulated market of the EU. We attended the SiGMA Balkans/CIS Summit to explore the opportunities there. Besides Swedish, I also speak Serbian, Bosnian, and Croatian fluently.
My partners at Brooklake Group operate several other websites, in multiple other GEOs and verticals.
What makes your traffic proposition/traffic sites unique?
At first, some affiliate managers that I’ve spoken to had been skeptical towards my project because they thought that we were “just a tipster site”. However, after introducing myself and showing them the substance behind this project, our traffic sources and the quality of our players, their opinion changed.
Yes, I’m a Swedish sports betting affiliate; I engage my followers on social media and offer website visitors high quality betting tips. However, our greatest efforts are dedicated and put towards SEO. We’re making sure that we receive organic traffic from the best betting related keywords on Google.
Have you ever been to SiGMA before?
No. So If we haven’t met, please come and say hello (especially, if you are into football)!
