Malta Gaming Authority says that it has no connection to Sona9.com

The Malta Gaming Authority (MGA) released a statement to declare that it has no connection with sona9.com adding that claims made by the company are ‘false and misleading‘.

The Malta regulator states it has no connection with the company and has no gaming licence has been granted for the jurisdiction.

The MGA took the opportunity to remind consumers to be cautious and verify claims of an entity before utilising its services. It added “the gaming regulatory framework obliges authorised persons to comply with strict legal requirements in the interest of consumers. The activities of unlicensed entities are unregulated and do not provide the necessary safeguards delineated by virtue of the framework, making transactions with such entities risky for consumers.”

A list of MGA-licensed entities is available and can be viewed here: https://www.mga.org.mt/licences/.

Sona9.com bears the logo of MGA on its website.  It says that ‘it as a young and ambitious bookmaker founded in 2021.  It is actively spreading and operating in many countries of the world, including India. The platform is legal in India, which is confirmed by a St. Kitts license.’
