Philippine’s DFNN Inc. to introduce “Online Sabong” to its platform

DFNN to take on this new vertical in line with PAGCOR’s authorisation

The Publicly-listed DFNN Group, will introduce and market the newly legalised “online sabong or “e-sabong” as part of its new gaming content from the legal providers of Philippine Amusement and Gaming Corporation (PAGCOR).

PAGCOR authorised “Online Sabong” or the placing of bets on live cockfighting earlier this week, amid the urgent need of the government to generate more revenues for the pandemic-hit economy.

DFNN’s disclosure letter secured by SiGMA Asia News’ Correspondent, stated that “Given the experience and reach of the Group’s gaming platforms, it is well positioned to take on this new vertical in line with PAGCOR’s rules of their approved content as it has unparalleled capabilities in secure payment solutions, KYC solutions, logistics capabilities, and proprietary IT knowledge to be able to scale rapidly and seamlessly integrate the technology with its other content.”

DFNN further expressed, “This will enable the Group to deploy and realise value from e-sabong and funnel legal revenues to the government amid the proliferation of unregulated e-sabong on various social media platforms.

“This affiliate provides gaming products and opportunities that cover both the local and international gaming markets. Its local products run the gamut of RNG Games, Virtuals, and Live Dealer Content, focused on the “Single-Event, Multi-Player” Format.” It concluded.

Under the nation’s so-called PIGO (Philippine Inland Gaming Operator) scheme, DFNN Inc., was granted the country’s first regulated online casino licence by the Philippine Gaming and Amusement Corporation (PAGCOR) in early December of last year.

In addition, The Chairwoman of PAGCOR, Andrea Domingo, has reportedly announced in an online forum early this week that three integrated resorts in the Entertainment City of Metro Manila had “commenced” online play for table games and slots.
